Timothy Hawkes, DO

Dr. Timothy Hawkes is board-certified in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He also is an active member of the Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS). Dr. Hawkes grew up in Vernal and is proud to be back here serving the community. He offers help to people of all ages with everything from carpel tunnel to sports medicine to knee surgery. And if you do need knee or hip surgery, Dr. Timothy Hawkes is the only Orthopedist in Vernal that is also certified to use robotic-assisted surgery at Ashley Regional. He also is proud to be the only orthopedist in the area to offer Anterior Hip Replacement. As a former Uintah High School athlete and the only orthopedic surgeon that is fellowship trained in sports medicine and arthroscopy in the region, Dr. Hawkes enjoys working with athletes of all ages to consult, heal and repair sports injuries. He has worked under some of the nation's top sports medicine physicians, as well as cared for and treated players for the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Nationals and Washington Capitals. In his free time, he has previously provided sideline coverage for the NFL, college sports and local high school sports. Dr. Hawkes completed his fellowship in arthroscopy and sports medicine at MedSTAR Baltimore/Washington DC, and his residency at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He graduated from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida.
